Pioneer Village is a 33 unit property for low-income independent seniors aged 55 plus. There are 23 patio homes, and 10 units in a two-storey building. All suites are 540 sq.ft. 1-bedroom units with walk-in shower. Two of the units are handicap accessible. All units are heated and cooled with a heat pump. Hydro and basic cable TV is included in the rent. There is a central coin laundry room, and clubhouse for activities. Off street parking for tenants and visitors is available. No pets of any kind are allowed, nor is smoking permitted in the units.

Please note that the Society does not directly process requests or applications for housing. All requests must be made by contacting BC Housing online, or filling out and mailing an application form on this website, or by picking up a form at The Society of Organized Services (SOS), located at 245 West Hirst Avenue, Parksville, BC. Note that all applications considered for housing are based first on need and housing availability, not on application date.

Once you have submitted your application, you will only be contacted for an interview when a suitable unit becomes available. Also note that we do not provide emergency housing or shelter.
